One more thing to add to resume!

I got a job at the school!! I am now a part-time employee of Atlantic Baptist University Alumni department! I was so excited when I got the news I hopped up and down. No one else is home so I'm allowed to shriek and not scare anyone! I called home excitedly, yet no one answered...oh well they'll find out soon enough! My nerves are taking a little bit of a hit, though I'm very pumped for all that I get to do! Next time you see an alumni email or letter, think of me!

And we all thought Flash was red...

Yesterday, Jill, Amanda, Laura-Lee, and I went to the Halifax airport to surprise our friend Sarah as she left for Germany. She is being very brave and going to be an au pair for a year! We were wandering the airport when Laura-Lee said, (very calmly) "there's Sarah!" Well, I couldn't wait, so I Mr. Bean ran across the hall so I cut right in front of her. she didn't notice until i kinda did it again! her mom and sister and the rest of us were howling. She was totally surprised-mission accomplished! After waiting a little bit, we learned that Sarah's flight, supposed to be leaving at 6:55 wasn't taking off till 11! Hurray for waiting in line for at least half an hour! We all just hung out, talking, eating really doing nothing different then if we were at the house. We took lots of pictures and just had a really good time with our gal-pal Susan!
I will miss her, but I know that she will make one amazing au pair. Germany just got one kick-butt au pair! Posted by Picasa

Settling in

I'm back in New Brunswick to attend my final year of my BA! Saturday was move-in day for me, which went alright but not well. I had the flu Friday night and did not sleep much. So instead of going out for lunch on Saturday with mom and dad, we just went straight to the apartment. My parents were great with helping me get all my stuff upstairs into my room, which is a nice size! After a few hours, they headed back to Edmunston (then Ottawa the next day), which was okay. I've watched them leave for three other years, so this year wasn't too bad. I live with great girls, Jill and Laura-Lee. We will have a lot of fun together. I do miss certain things about dorm but there are some definite perks to living off campus. Jill's parents came on Sunday and made us supper-oh how I've missed homemade lasagna. wait, I don't think I've ever had homemade lasagna!
Monday night we saw "World Trade Centre". I think I started crying the first 5 minutes into the movie and couldn't stop. I had to cover my face into Laura-Lee's shoulder a few times but other than that I just sat there stunned. It is a very well made movie and they don't try and sugar coat what happened, they just showed the movie from the perspective of two police officers. I felt claustrophobic at certain scenes but not as much as I thought. On the whole it is a very good movie based on true events.
I am happy and I will try and update more!
